Hello & welcome!

It seems this project has been simmering for years—I've been weaving on and off since middle school, un-officially taught by my mom (meaning she did the bulk of the set-up, with pattern choosing, yarn calculating, warping and dressing the loom, while I'd help with weaving), then officially taught in college (thank you Rudy Kovacs for instilling in me a lifelong love and respect for quality materials, professional craftsmanship and attention to detail). When I graduated with my Bachelors in Fine Art, my parents gifted me with my first floor loom, a LeClerc Nilus four harness floor loom.

A year ago, my mom gifted me with her 8 harness Schacht Baby Wolf, hello gorgeous!

Fast forward to this winter, my husband Jon and I were walking to pick up our son from Kindergarten, we were chatting goals and projects and side hustles, and he said, why not do a weaving blog? You obviously enjoy making woven things and can chat about the process for hours, people would dig it.

So here I am, I'm stoked to have a place to document and share the journey, and bring a few series pieces to life. Thanks for joining me.
