Spike on the Shuttle

Spike is such a lovely, complicated character, all tough and tumble, yet his heart is right there on his sleeve—after all, he was a poet prior to vampire—and he goes from evil demon to human-kind-saving champion, I love his storyline!

The twill pattern has great edges, so the contrast between the warp and weft creates iconic fangs. I love that the edges are stark and obvious with the black cotton weft, and then blurry with the golden white wool—a perfect metaphor to the two sides of his personality and a lovely visual reminiscent of his platinum blonde locks, a nod to his punk rock persona (after all, as Buffy stated, “Billy Idol stole his look”).
