Impromptu Weaving & Getting Scrappy

Sometimes inspiration strikes and you MUST get started on a project, despite already having something warped and ready on the loom. This project is a great example—I wanted to do a small weaving for a friend, didn’t have a frame ready, so I improvised with a warping board, cardboard, stash yarn and some lovely Pendleton wool (gifted by said friend!). This project is particularly fun on a few levels: it’s for my friend’s 40th birthday, it recycles materials from them (YES!) and it’s in Portland Trail Blazer colors (and made while I was watching game 3!). All very good things, and all super special to my friend.
